Online Project Documentation “Touching Kiwa”

KIWA Project aims to create platforms for creation and dialogue through observing the relationships between urban images and “constructed nature” from overall the world from the Japanese perspective of “Fudo (climate)”.
In this video, Unreleased moving images for the audio-visual performance “Touching Kiwa” were re-edited and Sachiko Nagata’s performance of Hamon (iron slit drums) was newly recorded. Through a beautiful co-creation between moving images and sound performance seems to travel between real and imagined scenery.It contains photographic and video materials taken in Japan and abroad, pictures from the rehearsal for the audio-visual performance “At the Kiwa”,and the voices of the project members newly recorded.
