Cancellation and postponement of the 1st Inclusive Picnic “Touch the KIWA”
due to
the spread of new coronavirus infections

 

Thank you for your reservation for the 1st Inclusive Picnic “Touch the KIWA”.

Due to the spread of new coronavirus infections,
we decided to cancel this event scheduled on February 29 and postpone it.
We will also organize a refund procedure.


We will adjust to reschedule this event after April
and announce the new schedule of related events around the middle of March again. 


At the moment, we will hold an audio-visual performance “At the KIWA” on March 28 as it is.
The latest information will be updated on the website from time to time.

Inclusive Picnic

 

 

Inclusive Picnic is the meeting in the form of a workshop,

in which participants with different types of perceptual characteristics and facilitators share about

their relationships to nature through using design, projected images, music and sounds.

Part 1 Workshop and Mini Talk


〈Workshop〉

 

 

Yuri Yoshida (designer), Takuma Kamaishi (videographer) and Sachiko Nagata (percussionist)

will hold a workshop by using projected images and sounds

in cooperation with Michi Nagai (sound therapist),

who has practiced numerous workshops as a clinician interacting through sound and music.

Michi Nagai (sound therapist) will talk about her experiences

through practices and workshops by using moving imagesa and live sounds for people of a wide range of anges.

 


 

Part 2 Live and Talk Event


〈Live〉

Spatial Projection  | Tomoko Mukai / Musical Performance | Sachiko Nagata

A mini live performance by Tomoko Mukai and Sachiko Nagata will be presented

by using projected images and percussions at Bunjukaku building of Tochoji Temple.

It shows a different landscape from another audio-visual performance at the Garden of Water of the temple as outside.

 

 

〈Talk Event〉

After the live performance, Junji Watanabe, Scientist in NTT Communication Science Laboratories will hold a talk

about “KIWA of perception (Edge of perception)”,

who focuses on researching new relationships between humans and the environment and between humans and today’s science and technology.
